Okay, so, not only am I obsessed with that stinkin’ song, but I just realized it’s almost MAY! Did you notice my hilariously clever play on words with “Call me MAYbe?” Ha…at least it made me laugh. Anyway, can you believe it’s almost the end of April?! Time is flyin’ by.
The weather has been seriously funky recently and I’m wondering what the heck is goin’ on! I don’t know what to wear anymore. Last week I wore a cute sundress, this week I’m braving rainstorms and freezing nights, and if I listen closely I think I can actually hear the faint sounds of my closet weeping. Maybe Mother Nature had a little bit too much fun on Earth Day (if you know what I’m sayin’).
Anyway, May brings us so many awesome holidays to celebrate: Cinco de Mayo (tequila!), Mother’s Day, National Teachers Day, and Memorial Day, to name a few. I just hope you’re all prepared for what the next month has in store for us. I’ve been staying on top of everything by checking in daily to Social Crumbs. God, I love feeling informed. Did you know today is Administrative Professionals Day? BET NOT! Unless you visit Social Crumbs regularly…just sayin’.
Anyway, on a total side note, I have a relationship question for all the men out there (or ladies who have experienced this)… Hence my clever, witty blog title, I’ve noticed that a LOT of guys say they’ll call you and then then don’t. YOU hit on ME, dude. Who’s got some insightful wisdom about their lack of cojones and why they lie about calling?
I’m sure you’re all super busy chowing down on chocolates and gazing at beautiful bouquets of flowers, but I wanted to pop in and wish you a VERY happy day of loveeeeee.
Make sure you stay festive (because every day should be Valentine’s Day, right?) with awesome Firefox skins and Facebook Layouts from PageCraze. Put down the pint of ice cream and step away from your ex’s Facebook page. We’ve got something better for you to do here!
Can you believe the Royal Wedding is only two days away?! I’ve been counting down the hours ’til the nuptials since Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement! I can’t even imagine how crazy everything must be across the pond with all of the wedding preparations. (And don’t even get me started thinking about her dress and wedding shoes, OMG!)
I was so excited when I logged onto Facebook yesterday and headed to my fave app, HeartYou, to find that they’ve added a new Royal Wedding Heart! I HAD to have it to send to all of my equally-as-obsessed Facebook friends, and you should do the same (because all the cool kids are doing it, obviously). Check it out:
Who else is amped up for Friday’s big ceremony?!
Oh no! All this excitement has had me so preoccupied, I forgot that Prince William will now be officially off the market. There goes that plan… someone find me Harry!
Yep, you heard me correctly. Who cares that it’s Tuesday when today is NATIONAL GARLIC DAY! LOL! I expect you all to go home after work today and whip up some yummy Italian dish with plenty of garlic (unless, of course, you have a date, in which case I’d advise against celebrating this holiday).
In all seriousness though, I LOVE me some garlic… so who’s makin’ me dinner?! Hehe. Aside from National Garlic Day, which exists to promote the many uses of the oh-so-yumtastic herb/vegetable, we’re also less than a week away from Easter! I LOVE Easter, not only because of the egg hunts, amazing food and little kids dressing in their Sunday finest, but it’s also a great excuse to head to Webfetti (my fave place in the world, obvi!).
Webfetti has tons of Easter Graphics, Smileys, Glitter and more, so be sure to check it out and start sending your friends and fam some holiday love while you still can! Also, on a side note, don’t forget to grab our exclusive Easter Smiley Pack for iPhone! What’s better than injecting our sassy Smileys right into your Facebook messages, texts and emails? Nothing!
Again, Happy Garlic Day all you ‘Fetti fans! I expect you all to be cookin’ up a storm! ‘Til next time, Bon Appetit!
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all having a good week so far! With Easter right around the corner, I wanted to share with you a little theory of mine called ‘Easter Bunny Island.’
Remember when you were young and you asked your parents where The Easter Bunny came from? How about Santa Claus? The Tooth Fairy? Well, after this past weekend’s blind date from h-e-double hockey sticks, I’ve decided that all of those individuals must also live where all the good men are…a little place I like to call ‘Easter Bunny Island.’
In a land far, far away, all of the world’s mythical creatures and characters are tucked away safely on an island in the tropics. There are rainbows, puppies, cheerful babies and it literally rains men (like the song). I’m really getting sick of the pool of males there are to choose from over here in this country, so I’m determined to find this magical land by Easter.
I also plan on raiding the Easter Bunny’s basket of chocolate. Who’s in?!
Hey everyone! With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, I have AWESOME freakin’ news for you. So, I was doing what I do best (aside from being fabulous, obvs) and snooping around the office to get some down-low dirt when I stumbled upon something SO amazing. Within the next couple of days, it seems our friends here at Webfetti will be launching a new Facebook app that seems SO amazing. I knew there was some crazy, rad stuff going on during the last month, but this is just too cool.
From what I heard through my travel mug held up against the conference room door, I think the app has something to do with hearts, but I can’t be sure. Maybe it’s Your Hearts or My Hearts or Heartburn or something…all I know is you’ll have to keep your eyes and ears out for the fantastic revealing of this to-die-for app…wait…maybe I shouldn’t refer to dying while I’m talking about a heart app. I apologize. Anyway, who doesn’t love an awesome, new app?! It’s also created by the Webfetti design team, to boot, so I KNOW it’s gonna be good.
I’m going to go try to find out some more 411 for you guys, but let me say this…head to Webfetti.com before Valentine’s Day. The site is totally decked out with sappy, sweet, sexy and single Valentine’s Day Graphics, Glitter, Smileys, Layouts and more.
Love ya! Let me know what you think of our new V-Day stuff!
Okay, Webfetti people. I’ve decided to recruit some love and life advice from you. Since you’ve all got the common sense to use Webfetti, you must be smart, so I’d be honored to hear what you have to say about my current situation.
Consider this a ’Fetti fan therapy session…
I love my life. I have a great job here at Webfetti, wonderful friends and a supportive family (not to mention a closet full of fab shoes)…and according to some admirers, I’ve got brains and beauty, to boot. There is ONE thing missing from my life though…a man! Though I am a single, independent woman and I’m totally happy ridin’ solo, I’ve had trouble meeting a good guy (like every other woman in the world, right?). I’m in no rush to find my prince charming, but I would love to have some direction…
I want to know where you all met your significant others. Clearly I’m looking in the wrong places…
Did you fall for a co-worker or develop a crush on your mailman?
Did you spot a hottie at a bar or stumble upon the boy next door? Your answers will help me to narrow down my hunting spots, so let’s hear it! I look forward to your insights and stories of romance.
Hugs and Kisses!
With the holiday season quickly approaching, I’ve thought long and hard about what I would like to find under my Christmas tree this year. I would love a DVD player, but I think I’m going to buy one on Black Friday. The same goes for this hot pair of boots I’ve had my eye on for about a month now. You know how I am with sales. Cha-ching!
There are a few other items on my wish list that would make me happy on Christmas morning, but when I thought about this past year and all of the transitions I’ve made in my life, I realized there is only one thing I want for the holidays. Myself!
After a recent conversation with a girlfriend about happiness and life, she reminded me of this scary, but true fact: At the end of the day, you have to please only yourself. Self-satisfaction is necessary. You die alone, so make sure you are happy alone. “Holy canoli!” I thought, “she’s right!” I don’t need a man to make me happy! (Note: In a couple of months, please remind me that I just wrote that sentence.)
All along, I’ve been waiting for all of the pieces of my life to come together to form my perfect puzzle, when in reality, I’ve been what’s missing all along. This holiday season, I want to dig down below my fabulous (and quite stylish) exterior, and get in touch with the real, inner Jenni. Don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got…I’m still Jenni from the block (haha sorry, I had to). From now on, I’m going to live by this Sex and the City quote:
The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.”
In order to do this, I need to love myself! I barely even KNOW myself. I know that I can’t cook and that I would do anything for my family. I know that I’m an emotional basketcase with a knack for fashion, but that beauty is only skin-deep. I know that I think Ryan Reynolds is the sexiest man on the planet, no matter who tries to argue with me that he isn’t. I also know my worth…and because of this, I know that I will eventually find someone who loves the real me…but before that, I will get to know the real me.
From now until the first of January, I pledge to admit one fact about myself each day. I urge you to do the same! What will YOU do for yourself this Christmas?
*Today’s Jenni Realization: Eating healthy is wonderful and all, but if I die after living a long life eating asparagus, I’ll be pissed. I’d rather clog my arteries with McDonald’s, live a few years less and die with french fry breath.
What’s good, everyone?! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while, but I’ve been putting out fires all over the place this week! Recently, I’ve had two friends go through family drama, boy drama and my most intolerable kind of drama… shopping drama. Don’t get me started on lazy customer service people and rude sales assistants. I won’t mention any specific stores, but I will say a certain shoe establishment at my favorite fashionista hot spot will no longer receive this girl’s biz. Anyway, all of these recent situations (and seeing ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ this weekend) have forced me to do some soul-searching to re-evaluate my life, so I figured I would share my revelations with you- my favorite fans!
I’ve conveniently “borrowed” this survey that I found on a friend’s Facebook page (shh! Don’t tell!) for you to get some Jenni insights!
THREE WAYS I AM STILL A KID
1. I still eat chicken nuggets that are shaped like dinosaurs…and sometimes I dip them in ketchup and bite their heads off. Never gets old.
2. I love Disney World. But let’s be serious…who doesn’t?!
3. Sometimes when I have a bad day, the only thing that will make me feel all better is a hug from Mom or Dad.
THREE THINGS I WANT TO DO
1. Find my soul mate.
2. Go to Fiji for a tropical vacation and spend my days relaxing on the beach and taking in the sights.
3. Write a novel.
THREE WAYS THAT I’M A STEREOTYPICAL “BOY”
1. I have a dirty mind…stinkin’ thing is always in the gutter.
2. I’d rather watch a football game over The Real Housewives of New Jersey anytime.
3. If it’s worthy, I will check out a girl’s butt and say “Daaamn!”
THREE WAYS THAT I’M A STEREOTYPICAL “GIRL”
1. I’m obsessed with shoes. I have like 100 pairs. 100 going on 300.
2. I gossip like it’s nobody’s business.
3. Every once in a while, I need to watch a good chick flick, eat Ben & Jerrys by the gallon and cry my eyes out. I’m entitled.
THREE THINGS THAT SCARE ME
2. Tidal Waves.
3. Carrot Top.
THREE OF MY EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
1. My navy blue eyeliner. Yeah, I’m spunky.
2. My computer. What’s a blogger/writer to do without her trusty computer?
Well, hopefully this has given you a taste of Jenni. It definitely got me thinking and made me realize that I’m a pretty cool chick!
I would love to hear all about you guys, as you’re the ones I devote so much of my time to with The Hotsheet! Let me know some tidbits about you! Oh, and don’t forget to check into Webfetti for the latest and greatest Thanksgiving goods!
