First and foremost, I want you all to know how much I game shows. I grew up watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Super Market Sweep, Blind Date and Shop ‘Til You Drop, but my all-time fave game show is (and always will be) Pyramid! For those of you who are less familiar with this AMAZINGNESS, check out this clip from a retro episode of Pyramid. To honor this classic challenge, I will reveal today’s blog topic by giving you a series of clues that relate to our topic du jour, without mentioning the subject itself.
Here’s an example:
Confetti…balloons…cake…presents…Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Donkey…a clown named Bozo.
The topic: Things seen at a birthday party!
Get it? Okay, now for the real test…try and guess today’s discussion topic!
Here are your clues: Eating Mexican food before a long flight…buying a pet snake to be more like Britney Spears…rockin’ a mullet…not following your dreams…getting that “Momma’s Boy” tattoo on your lower back…your ex.
And our topic is……………………..
Things You Do That You Later Regret!
I bring up this oh-so-important matter because now that our blog is in full-swing, you all have the ability to comment on our posts, (pretty awesome, huh?). I want you all to be able to share what’s up in your neck of the woods, but there are some things we need to keep in mind when we’re divulging our thoughts.
Sorry, but it’s true! If your comment is too long, we can’t post it. Keep things short and sweet to make sure you’re heard!
Here at Webfetti, we try our best to keep everyone happy, but we understand that not everything we do might be up your alley. If something’s not your cup o’ tea, just be sure to go easy on us in your comments (we’re a little thin-skinned over here). Just try and keep it clean, folks. Like Mom says, if you can’t say it in front of Grandma, you probably shouldn’t say it at all. Word?
We’re constantly busy over here, thinking up fun, new Graphics, Smileys, Layouts and more, so it’s hard for us to answer all of your questions right away. We’ll do the best we can, but please be patient! If you don’t get an answer right away, don’t worry! You can trust that we’re workin’ on it (and you know I know how to work it)!
Last, but not least…
As much joy as we find poking fun at yo’ momma and telling you like it is (when it’s called for, of course), here at ‘Fetti, we urge you not to make things personal. Steer clear of including info like your phone number and address when commenting. And remember…we will not print personal attacks toward any of our fabulous users or staff, like me. Sticks and stones may break our bones, but…well, sometimes words really do hurt!
To conclude my awesome post on commenting, I would like to reintroduce Pyramid…dun, dun, dunnnn… Here’s your last chance at mastering this brain-busting pastime:
Painting my nails…watching the GLEE premiere…eating dinner (Chicken Parm, in case anyone’s wondering)…Facebook stalking…counting my ever-growing shoe collection.
You got it! Things I’m doing to wrap up my Tuesday once I’m outta here !!! Later, loves!
As a product of the eighties, I’ve come to LOVE the ridiculousness of that decade (aside from that ’867-5309/Jenny’ song that came out, which still haunts me to this day). If you weren’t around in the 1980′s (or if you were, but you were still waddling around in diapers) you missed out on a “totally rad” time, which is why I’ve decided to have an 80′s-themed birthday bash tomorrow night in Atlantic City, and more importantly, why I’m so excited to share my love of the eighties with YOU, here on my bloggity-blog!
Not only will tomorrow night’s par-tay have strickly retro tunes (Bon Jovi and Madonna, anyone?), but I’ll also be decked out in a neon frock, complete with leg warmers, lace gloves and a side ponytail…oh, and Funky Cold Medina drinks will be served (obvi)! In case you missed the fabulosity of those 10 years, here are some of my fave highlights:
- The Clapper (Not to be mistaken with ‘The Clap.’ K, thanks)
- Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Skipping school + singing on a parade float= awesome)
- Flourescent Scrunchies (Molly Ringwald would be proud)
- Jelly Shoes (I had one in every color…duh)
- The Dukes of Hazzard (I was convinced Bo Duke would be the father of my babies)
- Cyndi Lauper (Because girls DO just wanna have fun)
Anyway, I’m SUPER excited for tomorrow night’s neon madness, and I wish you all could come celebrate with me! I’ll be back before ya know it, though, so try not to miss me too much! Just for fun, drop me a line and tell me your favorite 80′s fad!
I’m out like a pair of MC Hammer parachute pants. Check ya later, kids!
Hey, everyone! With one week down and one week left to go in our ‘Fetti Your Photo Contest, it’s safe to say we’ve seen some A+ work! We’ve had AMAZING entries in all three contest categories:
- Most Likely to Succeed
- Cutest Couple
- Class Clown
But with only 7 days to go, it’s time to buckle down and get competitive. Here at Webfetti, we never frown upon playing dirty, which is why I’m going to give you some helpful contest hints to make your pics stand out above the rest!
Hint #1: Make sure you choose a good-quality photo where we can clearly see yo’ sexy self. Nothing’s worse than looking at a pic and saying “WTF am I looking at here?!”
Hint #2: Our Photo Editor is here to help you pimp out your pic, so be sure to take advantage of all the cool stuff we have to offer. Besides, you must make at least one change to your original photo with the Photo Editor to enter!
Hint #3: Stick to the syllabus, folks! This back-to-school themed contest is here to let you star in a superlative of your very own. Sending us photos of lakes, pet iguanas and your favorite coffee mug are considered a bit off-topic. Funny, but off-topic.
Hint #4: Here at the Webfetti headquarters, our designers are a little bummed that they can’t enter the contest themselves, but that hasn’t prevented them from creating some of their own masterpieces to show off to our staffers. Here’s a sneak peek at what they’ve been up to!
Example of: Most Likely to Succeed
Example of: Cutest Couple
Example of: Class Clown
What do you guys think of these Webfetti staff creations? Now that I’ve given you some ‘Fetti 411, it’s time to get crack-a-lackin’ with your photos! Take me to the Photo Editor!
Hey, everyone! I have some rockin’ news for you! I had a prize powwow with my oh-so-fab Webfetti co-workers and we’ve decided to give our ‘fetti followers some sweet swag…and we’re not talkin’ just any free loot, here…DIGITAL CAMERAS, to be exact! (Don’t worry, you can thank me later!)
If you know me at all, you know that I never shy away from a little competition, which is why we’ve decided you’ll need to earn your prize! After all, these flashtastic beauties are too spectacular to be handed out like mini-weenies at a cocktail party. It’s time to put on your game face and get ready for a fun challenge!
With back-to-school back in action, our appropriately themed contest will help you get psyched about heading back to the books (or at least to give you a stroll down memory lane)! And don’t worry…there’s no math required- just pure awesomeness.
Here are the deets:
- We want you to show off your skills and pimp out your pics in our ‘Fetti Your Photo Contest! Use our Photo Editor to create a clever photo (or photos) that can be entered into any of our three school honors categories:
- Class Clown
- Most Likely to Succeed
- Cutest Couple
Oh, and in order to qualify for the prizes, you have use at least one element from our fab Photo Editor. (Don’t worry…we’ve added lots of awesome graphics and tools to help you step up your game!)
- We’ll start accepting entries at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010. The contest will end at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010, so you’ve got two weeks to give us your all, people!
- After you jazz up your photos, enter the contest directly through Photo Editor by clicking the ‘Save and Share’ button, and then “Enter the ‘Fetti Your Photo Contest” link. Also, you must post your pic to your Facebook wall to be considered (but no worries- this will all be taken care of when you choose to enter. It’s all rigged up to make this easy as pie for ya!).
- We will select one winner and one honorable mention in each category. (Sorry all you overachievers, but if you win in one category, you can’t win in another.) You can submit up to three photos total, so make sure to enter your best work! Our three grand prize winners will receive sexy digital cameras (SUCH an “in” accessory, if I do say so myself) and our three honorable mentions will snag Macy’s gift cards for some fresh back-to-school, drool-worthy duds. All winners will be contacted through their registered Webfetti emails, so make sure it’s legit. If you win, you’ll only have 72 hours to write us back before we move on to someone else.
I’m so pumped to see all the creative pics you craft! If you have any comments or questions, check out our official rules, and you know I’ll always be here to answer questions, too! In the meantime, start deciding which photos you want to show off and check-in regularly on our Webfetti Facebook page and blog for updates!
It’s on like Donkey Kong!
It’s weekend, which means people all over will be celebrating with picnics, barbecues, parades and, of course, shopping!!! I know you all have a lot to do to prepare for the holiday (like stock up on junk food and find those white pants to wear one last time), so I’ll try and keep this short and sweet.
This weekend, while you’re enjoying the nice weather (or Hurricane Earl), why not take some fun snapshots of you and your besties? Play paparazzi this Labor Day and get that candid picture of your girls attempting to play horseshoes, the old man who fell asleep on the parade float and your Uncle Vinny’s singed eyebrows from his bratwurst grilling incident.
After you’ve had enough of the photography gig, head to our Photo Editor and play around, adding cool graphics, fun effects and baller borders to your pics. Besides, we have a feeling you’ll want to get practicing with our Photo Editor contest RIGHT around the corner.
Can you guess what the theme might be?
Hint: If you take a guess, we’ll give you an A+ for effort!
Hey everyone?! Its hump day, which means the weekend is ALMOST here…finally! What do you all plan on doing this upcoming holiday weekend? My game plan is to grab a few of my closest girlfriends and welcome September by getting my shopping spree on! Labor Day weekend = sales galore! In my book, there is no such thing as too much retail therapy and I am in need of a serious therapy session!
It stinks that the summer is pretty much over, but I have to say, I’m really pumped to expand my fall wardrobe. With my birthday coming up (and more importantly, my birthday celebration), I need to make sure I have a hot, new outfit for all of the pictures I’ll be snapping (even though I know most of my friends will head right for Webfetti’s Photo Editor to give me some goofy glasses and a wacky get-up)! Below, see Exhibit A:
The Photo Editor lets you turn totally blah pictures into bangin’ works of art with funky graphics, tons of text, fun frames, exciting effects and so much more. I’ve spent countless hours pimping out pictures to post to my BFF’s Facebook walls. It’s almost as addictive as Twilight…almost.
A little birdie told me that there is a Photo Editor contest comin’ up right around the corner, which means you should get practicing if you want to snatch some fancy-schmancy prizes in the near future! (I’ll do my best to get the inside scoop for you…shhh! Don’t tell!) So, give it to me straight… what’s YOUR favorite Photo Editor feature?!
Hey my ‘fetti people! As you know, I’m single, fabulous and on the prowl, so naturally I’m going to blog a bit about my dating life in addition to your regular Webfetti juice. This past weekend, I was set up on a blind date with a friend of a friend. After some Facebook stalking and Google searching (thank goodness for modern technology), nothing made me believe that my date-in-question was a serial killer, fugitive or had multiple wives, so I agreed to meet him.
Before I went on our what-was-supposed-to-be-chill double date (which ended up more like an Animal House frat party-don’t ask), one of my BFF’s asked me to find out if *Chad, my date, was a “twister” or “popper”.
She went on to explain her theory about guys and the ladies they date:
Men are like jars with tough-to-open lids.
A girl may date the same guy for a long time, twisting and twisting, but she never opens the jar and gets him to commit. As soon as she gives up on opening that jar, another girl comes along and voila! She pops the top right off with no problem. The first girl (the twister) was able to loosen the lid enough for the second girl (the popper) to slide right in and be with a committed jar… um, guy. Committed guy.
I’m glad to report that I already have another date with Chad lined up (a no-brainer if you saw his smile) AND he seems to have “pop” potential. My question for you all is this: if you meet someone awesome, but you know you’ve got a lot of twisting to do before the lid comes off, should you move on and find someone more poppable or turn red in the face twisting? Maybe I should just get one of those rubber grip jar-openers…ooohhh, men.
*name has been changed to protect the identity of my sexy date.
What’s up ‘fetti folks?! Hopefully you’re having an awesome week so far… at least thirsty Thursday is finally here! This week, aside from working with the Webfetti team to set up some AWESOME surprises for you, I’ve been super swamped planning for my birthday bash next month. It’s going to be epic… details to come!
It seems I’m not the only Virgo though, because I’ve been craaaazy busy trying to attend parties for my friends and fam, too. Don’t get me wrong- I love ‘em, but it’s been a little hard on my purse-strings, if you know what I’m sayin’. At this rate, I’ll never afford the new Michael Kors boots I’ve been eyeing for my b-day bonanza.
OR WILL I?!?!
Luckily, Webfetti has given me the PERFECT solution: Free Facebook gifts! I’m able to “gift” any ‘fetti Glitter, Graphic or Smiley and personalize it for the lucky b-day guy or gal.
Today, I sent my friend Kasey the most adorable birthday cupcake AND because I chose the “Give this as a gift” button on the right side of the page, I was taken step-by-step through customizing a tag, picking out some sweet gift wrap and writing a personalized message…just like a real gift.
Now it’s on her Facebook wall for the world to see (and I’m one step closer to those b.e.a-utiful boots). The real question is, which fun Webfetti gift should I sent to the hottie-with-a-body I’ve got my eye on?!
Send me your thoughts!
What’s good, Webfetti fans?! Jenni here, bringing you the latest Webfetti dirt! If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out my bio, make sure you do so you know more about the chica you’re dealing with, here. But enough about me… on to the good stuff!
If you haven’t noticed already, we’ve had quite a drastic makeover and our site is looking better than RPatz did in Twilight. Yeah, I said it. Not only are we sexier to look at, but we’re also easier! Um…easier to use.
Webfetti now allows you to pick your network before searching for goods, so your results are customized for the space you crave the most. Want to switch networks? No problem. All you have to do is go back to the homepage and click on your new network du jour. We’ve also made it much easier to search for your favorite Graphics, Layouts, Cursors and more. Looking for a glittery, rainbow unicorn for your Facebook profile? Have no fear! We’ve got you covered faster than you can say OMG!
I’m your go-to girl and behind-the-scenes spy, so I’ll be sure to give you all the inside scoop and rally for you if you’ve got some killer suggestions for the site. All the stuff you’ve been asking for is finally here, so make sure you let us know exactly what you think of our hot, new facelift!
Okay, party people- it’s time for my lunch break mani-pedi. Peace, love and lip gloss, baby.
