Call Me MAYbe…or Not

Okay, so, not only am I obsessed with that stinkin’ song, but I just realized it’s almost MAY! Did you notice my hilariously clever play on words with “Call me MAYbe?” Ha…at least it made me laugh. Anyway, can you believe it’s almost the end of April?! Time is flyin’ by.
The weather has been seriously funky recently and I’m wondering what the heck is goin’ on! I don’t know what to wear anymore. Last week I wore a cute sundress, this week I’m braving rainstorms and freezing nights, and if I listen closely I think I can actually hear the faint sounds of my closet weeping. Maybe Mother Nature had a little bit too much fun on Earth Day (if you know what I’m sayin’).
Anyway, May brings us so many awesome holidays to celebrate: Cinco de Mayo (tequila!), Mother’s Day, National Teachers Day, and Memorial Day, to name a few. I just hope you’re all prepared for what the next month has in store for us. I’ve been staying on top of everything by checking in daily to Social Crumbs. God, I love feeling informed. Did you know today is Administrative Professionals Day? BET NOT! Unless you visit Social Crumbs regularly…just sayin’.
Anyway, on a total side note, I have a relationship question for all the men out there (or ladies who have experienced this)… Hence my clever, witty blog title, I’ve noticed that a LOT of guys say they’ll call you and then then don’t. YOU hit on ME, dude. Who’s got some insightful wisdom about their lack of cojones and why they lie about calling?
Pin Me, Baby!

No, I’m not talking about America’s favorite party game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey- I’m talkin’ about Pinterest! Webfetti finally has a Pinterest Account, where we can join…well…the rest of the world, in pinning a few of our favorite things, Sound of Music style.
I’ve only just begun my pinning extravaganza, but I’d LOVE some loyal followers (if you dare)! I’m still getting into the swing of it all, but so far it’s incredibly addictive. It’s like a bag of potato chips that you can’t help but keep going back to. Obviously, I’ll be pinning a ton of fun stuff from Webfetti, but I’m also trying to incorporate everyone else’s LOL-worthy stuff, too. We don’t descriminate here.

Get Socially Active…All the Cool Kids Are Doing It

What’s up, everyone?! Funny story for you. When a co-worker asked me this morning if I was socially active, I choked on my skinny vanilla latte and had to mutter, “EXCUSE me?! That seems like an awfully private thing to ask.” Then I realized she said socially active.
Obviously, I’m socially active. I’m in my 20′s and I plan my days around all-things social media; I send eCards like they’re goin’ out of style, have a Twitter account where I have a crazy loyal following and I’m a Facebook addict. I’ve also gotten really into Pinterest recently, which is AMAZING. But all that aside, it turns out she wants to become more involved online so she can keep up with what her kids and friends are doing online. I offered to help her out…because I’m awesome.
My first piece of advice for her was Social Crumbs. I set her up with her own Facebook account and immediately had her “like” the Social Crumbs page. Not only can you get helpful hints for making your online presence one worth noticing, but it’s your one-stop shop for all of the latest Facebook layouts, cool cover photos for your Facebook timeline, tons of eCards and much, much more.
What’s not to love?! Today, your challenge is to refer at least one Facebook friend to Social Crumbs. Tell them Jenni sent you and get on it, kids… I’ll be waiting to see those “likes” skyrocket!
Cover Up!

I never thought I’d say this, but this Spring Break it’s time to cover up!
Don’t worry…I’m only talking about your Facebook page. Gentlemen…feel free to roam about in just your swimsuits with your impeccable tans.
Anyway, back to business. CoverFanatic is my newest obsession and my friends are absolutely in LOVE with all of the Facebook timeline covers I’ve been suggesting for them. There are hot, new designs each week and there’s no limit to how many times you can change your cover, so you can switch it up each month, seasonally or as often as you change your underwear (which I really hope is more often than monthly or seasonally)! I change mine weekly, just to keep things fresh! My cover…not my underwear.

Hola!
Just dropping in to wish you all a fantastic week. Now that it’s April and the weather has gotten much warmer, I decided to give myself a nice little vacay. Spring breakers aren’t the only ones who deserve some time off! I only took 2 days for R&R, but hey…I’ll take what I can get. This whole grown-up thing is NOT all it’s chalked up to be.
Oh well, at least I’m old enough to drink yummy cocktails and bring home some paper…mama likes her Jimmy Choos! Before I head out, I wanted to remind you all to stop by Webfetti to grab some awesome Spring Break graphics to post to your friends’ Facebook walls. How freakin’ hilarious is this one?

Along with open-toed shoes, sneezing fits and the ice cream truck man, spring is officially back, baby!
As many of us do these days, I spend a good chunk of my time in front of my computer, and my work day usually prevents me from experiencing beautiuful spring weather at the most ideal times of the afternoon. Have no fear, though… I’ve got a solution for those of you who are in the same boat.
Whether you’re in school and stuck inside writing a paper or you’ve ventured out into the big, bad working world, you shouldn’t have to be trapped indoors on days when the birds are chirping and the sky is crystal clear. To battle your indoor blues, here are 3 tips and tricks that might help you add some freshness to your day:
1) Head on over to PageCraze for a bright new browser skin that screams ‘springtime’! If you have to be on the Internet, why not surf with some pretty petals on your screen? (Trust me…it’ll help you forget that you’re inside.) Check out this pretty Cherry Blossom skin:

Cover Lover

Pardon my venting for a moment, but bear with me…I promise I’m going somewhere with this.
While I was doing my usual Facebook perusing the other night, I noticed that a TON of my Facebook friends have awful taste… not only in men (trust me), but in their choice of Timeline cover, too. The majority of my friends have switched over to the new and improved Facebook profile, where you can display a giant cover image on the top of your page, but every single cover I’ve seen is fuglier than the next.
It’s sad, but true.
The types of Timeline covers I’ve seen are as follows:
- Photos of my friends kissing their significant others (please, spare us).
- Plain covers that consist of nothing but one single, drab color. BORING.
- Super busy designs that make me so dizzy, I feel like I might need one of those “Help me, I’ve fallen” necklaces.
- Babies. Is it me or does EVERY Mom have a giant photo of their child? It’s time to branch out, Mom.
After watching so many of my friends fall victim to the “Facebook Covers: What Not to Wear” plague, I ended up doing them all a solid by sending them to CoverFanatic.com.

It’s Almost Leap Wednesday!

2012 is a leap year! This means tomorrow (February 29) is a “bonus” day that we wouldn’t have had on regular joe-schmo years. Now, you can choose to look at it as one additional day of work OR you can use this opportunity to your advantage (I say go with the latter)!

I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I’ve popped my head in and said hello! It’s been a crazy, hectic couple of weeks for me, and I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to a night of unwinding in a bubble bath with a Margarita and a good mag.
