I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are pumped to start the work week (yeah, right lol). I have to say, today isn’t a typical Monday, though, because we have something awesome to look forward to this week: Cinco de Mayo! Thursday is quickly approaching, and even though most of us have work or school to think about, there’s nothing as gratifying as finishing up a long day of bustin’ your butt and sitting down to a giant plate of nachos and some fresh sangria (or a virgin Margarita…I don’t condone underage drinking). Am I right?
Like the Royal Wedding, this is something for everyone around the world to celebrate- not just the locals. Hey everyone! Today’s topic is one that is near and dear to all of us…
Facebook Statuses.
I’m not talking about Facebook relationship statuses, which have (somehow) become the pillar of legitimacy when it comes to declaring yourself single or taken. I’m talking about your actual Facebook statuses, where you complain about your day, brag about your too-good-to-be-true jobs, quote Lady Gaga and inform the public that you’re doing laundry in your basement and to come find you if you’re not back in five hours. Well, I have good news for you!
With the growing popularity of Smiley Chat for Facebook, Smiley Central has now given you the ability to inject Smileys into your statuses! If you’ve downloaded the Smiley app on Facebook, you’ll now see a little Smiley face appear next to your status bar, like this one:
Once you click on the little happy face, you’ll see a box where you can select classic or seasonal Smileys (like the one below, which happens to be decked out for Halloween):
To spruce up your status with a Smiley, simply click on the little guy of your choice and you’ll see a code appear in your status bar. Once you post your update, the Smiley you’ve selected will appear:
How baller is that?!
In case you haven’t yet, it’s time to get with the program and download this awesome app! Now, when you want to tell the world how much your boyfriend cried while watching Titanic, you can say it with a Smiley!

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not…

Hey! How’s everyone doing on this bright and beautiful Tuesday? I’m all smiles (just in case you were wondering), not only beacause our brand new app, Smiley Chat for Facebook, is getting some AWESOME stats and reviews in the news, but ALSO because I have a new crush who seems too good to be true! Ahhh!
So, Smiley Chat is spreading like wild fire and users are loving it almost as much as I’m digging the hot, new guy on Glee. Yeah, I said it. The blond Glee hottie isn’t my crush though…well, I mean…he’s not my main crush. I’m writing to you, my loyal Webfetti fans, to get some solid dating advice. Don’t steer me wrong! I have a few questions that I would like answered before I proceed to overthink this potential relationship (hehe). I may be flirtatious and outgoing, but I want to make sure I don’t do anything to sabotage my love connection now that he seems to be interested back! Keep your fingers crossed!
First and foremost, how long is it appropriate to “date” before things become Facebook official? 3 days? 3 weeks? 3 months? Help me out!
Secondly, I can’t cook! What if my crush (who we shall call ”Ringo” until I’m allowed to disclose this important information to the public) is a great chef, and the most extravagant delicacy I can make is Easy Mac? And no, I’m not kidding…
Also, Halloween is coming up! YAY! This spooktacular holiday is one of my fave times of year, so aside from sending ”Ringo” the most adorable Halloween Graphics from Webfetti, should I ask him to come to a costume party with me?
Maybe I should just send him this…
Is that too forward?!? Haha.
