It’s Torch Time Again!

Hi All,
Can you believe the 2012 London Olympics is right around the corner? The past four years have reallyyy flown by! I can’t wait to see the highly anticipated opening ceremony, phenomenal athletes, and exhilarating performances! But most importantly, I am dying to see what my fashion icon, Kate Middleton is going to wear! I wonder if she’s going to go for a sporty chic look. What do you think?
Anyway, I’m so excited to see the USA swimming team rise to victory again (and Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte’s amazing bods). But, I am sad to say that this Michael’s last Olympic games. I guess I’ll have to find a new hottie with a body to look out for in 2016.
My favorite, and perhaps one of the most thrilling sports to watch, is track and field! Can you say Usain Bolt? It seems like every time he steps on the track he shatters the world record!
And I can’t forget about all of the other sports. From volleyball to BMX cycling to rowing, there’s nothing like close competition to get that adrenaline pumping!
While I was trying to escape the blazing summer heat today, I decided to check out Webfetti for graphics and smileys to post to my Facebook wall. How else am I going to show off my enthusiasm and USA pride? If you love soccer, basketball, or gymnastics, don’t worry, Webfetti has flair for them all!

It’s Almost Leap Wednesday!

2012 is a leap year! This means tomorrow (February 29) is a “bonus” day that we wouldn’t have had on regular joe-schmo years. Now, you can choose to look at it as one additional day of work OR you can use this opportunity to your advantage (I say go with the latter)!

Get Your Party Pants On, People!

Tomorrow is the big day! I’m having a HUGE get-together at my place for New Year’s Eve and I can’t wait to have all of my loved ones in the same place to start the year off with a bang..or with the Christmas tree toppling over like last year, but whatever! I’m going shopping today for all of the New Year’s party essentials: noisemakers, plastic hats, champagne flutes, snacks and plenty of drinks… 2012 will make my friends VERY thirsty.
What are your plans for the big night? Will you be ringing in the New Year with your honey at home? Going to a fancy-schmancy party? Let me know- I want the dirt!
I’ve decided to send out a last minute party reminder to all of my attendees by posting New Year’s Webfetti on all of their Facebook walls with a cute little message. Here’s How It Works:
When does it start? It starts on August 2, 2011 and runs through August 6, 2011. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, August 10.
What You Need to Do: First, you’ll need to have an active Facebook account. Once you do, you’ll need to install the HeartYou Facebook application if you haven’t already. (Don’t worry… it’s free!) Next, “Like” the HeartYou Facebook Fan Page here, and then you’re ready to take on the challenge!
To get started, head to HeartYou and look for the first 3 hearts on the main heart gallery page, titled ‘Contest Heart 1’, ‘Contest Heart 2’ and ‘Contest Heart 3’. HINT: Look for the adorable monsters.

Twitter is Takin’ Over

I was listening to the radio this morning and they reported that on Sunday afternoon, during the Women’s World Cup Shoot Out, a record number of tweets on Twitter were sent per second. There were approximately 7,000 tweets sent a second! That’s complete insanity! Were you one of those people glued to the television or did you contribute to the record number of tweets sent? I, unfortunately, just stared at the television in disappointment (even though the US played their butts off).
However, I do tweet often. You know me… I love my social media! If you aren’t already following me on Twitter, you should! If you currently follow me, how do you feel about my tweets? Is there anything in particular you think I should tweet about that I haven’t yet discussed? Let me know, loves!

Before I leave to go sailing for the day, I wanted to wish you all a very happy 4th of July! We received the Declaration of Independence 235 years ago! That’s amazing!
I’m wearing red, white, and blue today because I’m proud to be an American! Why are you proud to be from the good ‘ol U.S.A?

Yesterday was Hug Holiday Day! I missed participating in such a good holiday. Bummer… So, I am going to make today Hug Holiday Day! Do it with me? We are supposed to go out and give hugs to everyone that needs one, especially those at senior citizen homes and hospitals. I’m gonna cruise by later to complete my good deed of the day. I try to do a random act of kindness everyday, even if it is just letting a car get in front of me on the highway. Do you?
If I don’t get to physically do a good deed everyday, I send my friends, that I know aren’t having the best day or don’t feel well, a heart from HeartYou. They have the best hearts and I know that the hearts bring smiles to my friend’s faces because they are so fetch! But more importantly, my friends know that I am thinking about them. IT’S SUMMER! It’s finally June 21st! YAY!
Now that I got THAT out of my system, it’s time to get you all as excited as I am (in case you aren’t already)! Today, we have more hours of daylight than any other day this year. I wanted to spend it all outside, but work has gotten the best of me. Work hard to play hard, right? Am I the only one with an insane work load today? I am, however, planning on taking a little break later (because I deserve one!) to look at the Webfetti summer graphics. Hopefully it will help me get into the summer mood by providing me a little ecsape from the office.

How To Cure Your Monday Blues

It’s Monday, Monday. Who’s excited that it’s Monday? I am! But, I am sad to report that Rebecca Black’s official ‘Friday’ music video has been taken off the Internet! Rebecca Black’s lawyers are in dispute with Ark Music Factory, the company that created the music video, and consequently, Rebecca Black’s stardom. Rebecca is saying that Ark Music did not have permission to market her as an Ark Music performer! It sounds like the battle is underway because the video was taken down! As sad as I am, I am happy that a thirteen year old is standing up for herself! She is teaching everyone that no matter how young you are, you should always fight for what you deserve… and I agree with her!
‘Friday’ is my summer jam and I like the song even more now! What’s your summer jam? If you haven’t picked yours yet, you should soon because tomorrow is the first day of summer! Can you believe it’s here already?! I love summer because the living really is easy. No one is ever in a rush, except when driving to the beach!
